Ngā Moemoeā

Ka Tupu aspires to seeing whānau deeply connected to our whenua and the taonga species we share it with, equipped with the skills, confidence, and opportunities to engage in meaningful taiao mahi.

Further mahi to engage in:

  • Maintain traplines across whānau land to support predator control year-round

  • Facilitate translocations of threatened species by preparing sites, coordinating logistics, and/or supporting post-release support or monitoring

  • Work more closely with species recovery groups

  • Restore wetland areas through planting and waterway care

  • Develop a whānau-led monitoring programme combining science and mātauranga

  • Run seasonal taiao wānanga to upskill whānau and strengthen intergenerational knowledge

  • Partner in larger conservation projects across the motu, supporting iwi, DOC, and researchers

Keen for a kōrero?

We’re always keen to connect on kaupapa taiao, and all sorts of other odd things. If you think we should be speaking to each other, kōrero mai!
